Pool 4: How things stand

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

It’s time for the return of the European Champions Cup on Friday night and while the competition is hotting up across the board, Saints’ pool is the tightest of them all.

With every team in Pool 4 having both won and lost one game, just two points separate the four teams, with this Friday’s opposition, Leinster Rugby, currently sitting at the top on 6 points.

While Saints currently occupy the bottom position in the pool, there is still everything to play for as they go into the back to back fixtures with their Irish counterparts starting with Friday night lights at the Gardens this week.

The other game in Pool 4 is an all-French affair as Montpellier Herault play host to Castres Olympique on Sunday afternoon, and with the pool so close these next two rounds of the competition are important ones for every team in the pool.

Depending on results this weekend, Saints could move up into second place in the pool and be in a position contest for the knock-out rounds of the competition as the tournament moves into the final pool stages.

Don’t miss your chance to witness history at Franklin’s Gardens as Saints play their 100th game in the European Champions Cup; get behind your Saints this Friday night by booking your place in the stands here.
