Hartley: We're in a hole but we're fighting to get out

Suffering a last-minute defeat to Newcastle Falcons at the Gardens yesterday evening, Saints must regroup quickly as all attention now turns to the European Champions Cup and the challenge of Ospreys next Saturday.

After that fifth straight Aviva Premiership defeat, Saints' captain Dylan Hartley was very honest about the feeling in the changing room:

"Disappointment, obviously, is the feeling" Hartley told SaintsTV after the game last night.

"We find ourselves in a hole and as a group of players we know we've got to fight our way out of it. When we find that victory it's going to be sweet one.

"The guys are very aware of where we're at and they're working tirelessly. The commitment and effort is there, you can't fault the guys. We realise where we're at and we'll keep working until we find that result.

"Little things tonight just maybe didn't go our way but we can't let it come down to those small decisions."
