Harrison: We’ve put ourselves in a really good position to kick on

After Saturday afternoon’s win over Bristol Rugby, where Saints sent four players over the whitewash and held their much-improved guests out to earn the maximum points, Saints moved up into sixth place in the Aviva Premiership after the results of round thirteen were in.

With Saints’ back row firing on all cylinders in recent weeks, Teimana Harrison said that the players are happy with their progress over the last few weeks but said that with Bristol becoming a real threat the win on Saturday was an important one for the club.

“We set ourselves a target of three games and we’ve won all three so we’re definitely a happy camp,” Harrison told SaintsTV after the game on Saturday.

“You can really see how much they’ve improved over the season. They come here on a four-win streak and they’re definitely a team that’s on the rise. I’m grateful that the boys pulled together and got the win.

“If you look where we were three weeks ago, we were sitting in tenth place so to come up into fifth, we’ve put ourselves in a really good position to kick on in the Aviva Premiership. It’s just about fixing the mistakes that we made tonight and growing as a team.

“I think we can get that progression if we can get into the right positions, the right areas of the field and if we capitalise on that and taking points away, whether that be three, five or seven, and just put the pressure on teams.”
