There will be plenty of representation from Franklin's Gardens in the Pacific islands this summer.

Campese Ma'afu and Api Ratuniyawara have both been named in the Fiji squad for their summer test series.

Fiji have a challenging five-match summer ahead of them, beginning with a trip to Melbourne to play Australia this coming weekend. This is followed by home matches against Italy (June 17th) and Scotland (June 24th) and then the Pacific Nations Cup clashes with Tonga and Samoa in July, which are doubling up as Rugby World Cup qualifiers.

"This series of matches provides us with a challenging test series and will allow us to see where we are on the world stage," said Fiji head coach John McKee. "Each opposition will bring special challenges and I am sure with good preparation and hard work this group will come together as a very strong team to represent the country of Fiji with pride.”

Meanwhile Ahsee Tuala and Ken Pisi have been selected in the Samoa squad that is preparing for their upcoming tests against New Zealand (Auckland, June 16th), Wales (Apia, June 23rd), Tonga (Nuku'alofa, July 1st) and Fiji (Apia, July 15th).

We have some very experienced players in the squad, but we have also ensured we have injected some new energy into this playing group,” said Samoa head coach amuluaulu Alama Ieremia.

“Samoa Rugby has been going through a period of healthy change, and we believe we’ve picked a solid squad for the upcoming season."
