Joining Saints in the summer of 2020 on a year-long loan deal, Nick Isiekwe quickly made an impression at Franklin's Gardens after donning the Black, Green and Gold for the first time against London Irish when rugby restarted in August 2020.
The lock – who is equally comfortable in the back row – arrived at Northampton from Saracens, where he came through the Academy and made his debut back in 2016.
Less than a year after his first experience of senior rugby, Isiekwe earned a first international cap as England toured Argentina and has gone on to build up considerable experience at the highest level of club rugby despite his young age.
The 6’7”, 119kg forward already has over 50 Gallagher Premiership appearances under his belt for Saracens, as well as appearing in the 2019 Heineken Champions Cup final.
And on linking up with Saints, Isiekwe's name quickly became one of the first on the teamsheet – seeing the lock feature seven times at the close of the 2019/20 campaign before scoring his first points in a Saints shirt against Harlequins in the second outing of the 2020/21 term and claiming the Club's Player of the Month award for December that season.
