Back rower Shaun Adendorff arrived at Northampton Saints in the summer of 2020, finishing the 2019/20 season in Black, Green and Gold once rugby restarted following the COVID-19 enforced break.
The Durban-born forward made the switch to the Gallagher Premiership from Pro D2 side Aurillac, having previously enjoyed stints with the Vodacom Bulls in Super Rugby and Currie Cup side Vodacom Blue Bulls before heading to France.
Adendorff was nominated for the IRB Junior Player of the Year Award back in 2012 after starring for South Africa’s Under-20s side on their way to a maiden Junior World Championship title, while also boasting international honours on the sevens circuit, having represented South Africa’s sevens team – the Blitzboks – from 2014 to 2015.
And, after making the move to Northampton, Adendorff's attritional style of play continued to impress, first earning him a place amongst Saints' starting line-up just weeks after touching down in the UK.
