Sonny Goode has been picked to start England’s opening game of the 2026 U18 International Series against Georgia, with two fellow Northampton Saints players also named amongst the replacements.
Scrum-half Goode is set to earn his sixth cap at this age grade level at Durbanville High School in the Western Cape, South Africa, on Friday 7 August (kick-off: 12.30pm UK time).
Will Catley and Jeremiah German are both in-line to make their England U18 debuts if they emerge from the 11-man bench.
England U18 Head Coach Jonathan Pendlebury said: “Georgia will provide a huge challenge, and we know we’ll need to show real purpose in our performance from the first minute if we’re to make a positive start to the tour.
“This group has prepared with great intent and the support they show one another, combined with their relentless competition in training, which has been a real strength throughout the opening week.
“We’re excited to see all of the squad take this opportunity, embrace the experience in South Africa and play with the enjoyment and ambition that defines this squad collectively on and off the pitch.”
