Following trials, students may be offered a place on the Tresham Rugby Academy, receiving training by experienced and qualified coaches and playing at the highest level of competitive fixtures. In addition to sporting commitments you will study on an academic sports programme where you will learn about a number of key sporting principles which form the basis of careers in the sports and fitness industry.
The study programme consists of units such as fitness training and testing, sports coaching, the psychology of sport, and anatomy and physiology. Delivered and assessed both in the classroom and in a practical environment, the Advanced Diploma in Sport provides a solid foundation to the sector, enabling you to gain the essential skills you need to enter employment, achieve career progression, or progress onto higher education such as the Foundation Degree in Sports Coaching or one of the HND courses at Tresham University Centre.
