Matchday Parking Update

Northampton Saints would like to update supporters on an important change to matchday parking arrangements at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens.

West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) took ownership of the Claret Car Park last summer and has now begun to build temporary accommodation on part of the site.

As a result, approximately 400 parking spaces that were previously available on Saints matchdays are no longer accessible.

Available matchday parking

The remaining area of the Claret Car Park, along with Car Park D (NN5 5JT), will continue to operate on Saints matchdays, though with reduced capacity.
Parking will remain available at £8.50 on the day, payable via contactless payment on arrival.
In due course, an ANPR barrier will be installed at the Claret Car Park by WNC. Once in place, supporters parking there on matchdays will need to pay via WNC’s WestPARK system.
The entrance to Claret Car Park has changed – as you approach from the Sixfields direction, use the first entrance on the right-hand side.

Seasonal passes (Car Park D)

Seasonal car parking passes valid for the 2025/26 season will continue to be accepted in Car Park D.
An area of the car park will be reserved for Season Pass holders to help ensure increased demand does not result in pass holders being unable to find a space.

Alternative parking at Sixfields

For fixtures where Northampton Town FC are not playing at home on the same day, the Cobblers’ West Car Park at Sixfields will be available to Saints supporters – including for this weekend’s match against Bath.
The Cobblers’ West Car Park is approximately a 15-20 minute walk (around one mile) from the entrance to the Supporter Village, and will be open from 3hrs before kick-off on matchdays.
Parking at Sixfields is managed by Northampton Town FC and costs £5 on the day, payable via contactless payment on arrival.
Please note that Saints’ seasonal car parking passes are not valid for this car park.
If Car Park D and the Claret Car Park fill up, supporters will be directed to the Cobblers’ West Car Park.

Parking considerately

cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens is located within a residential area. The Club strongly encourages supporters to use official Club car parks wherever possible.
Should supporters choose to park elsewhere, they are asked to do so with due care and respect for local residents and businesses.

Travel alternatives

Supporters may also wish to consider alternative ways of getting to the stadium:

Stagecoach buses offer special deals at weekends, with groups of up to five people able to travel anywhere within the Northampton area for £6 all day on Saturdays and Sundays.
On Saints matchdays, Season Ticket Holders can also purchase a £5 return ticket for travel anywhere within the Northampton area.
Northampton Train Station is a short walk from the stadium.
Voi e‑scooters are available across the town, with parking available on Weedon Road.
Car sharing is also encouraged.
