Winger Ollie Sleightholme has established himself as one of English rugby’s most prolific try-scorers, averaging better than a try every other game over his first eight seasons with Northampton Saints.

The son of Saints legend Jon Sleightholme (#1729), Ollie began his rugby journey with Northampton Old Scouts and joined Saints’ Academy at the age of 13. He signed full-time with the Club ahead of the 2018/19 season. 

His senior journey began in October 2018 at just 18 years old, when he started in a 51–24 PREM Rugby Cup win over Bristol Bears. Later that month, he made his PREM debut at Franklin’s Gardens – coming off the bench against Wasps and scoring within just 15 seconds of entering the field.

The 2023/24 campaign marked Sleightholme’s most prolific season to date. He scored 16 tries across all competitions, including two hat-tricks, and notched 14 tries in the Premiership – his last coming in the Final against Bath Rugby.

That domestic success was followed by international recognition, as Sleightholme was selected for England’s summer tour to New Zealand, featuring in both Tests as a replacement. He continued to shine on the international stage in the Autumn Nations Series, scoring twice against Australia and adding further tries against South Africa and Japan.

Sleightholme made his Guinness Six Nations debut in 2025, also bagging a brace of tries against Italy in Round 4.

Although injuries restricted him to 14 appearances in 2025/26, he still scored 11 tries, including one in his 100th appearance for Saints, their Investec Champions Cup quarter-final against Bath in April 2026.
