Italian winger Edoardo Todaro signed his first professional contract with Northampton Saints ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The Milan-born back has continued to make big strides on the international stage, playing for Italy at Under-18 level when aged only 16, before playing all of his country’s Under-20 Six Nations games in 2025 as well as featuring throughout the World Rugby U20 Championship.

Edoardo’s journey with Northampton Saints started with his mother commenting about her son’s rugby prowess on a YouTube video post by Ipswich School coach Andrea Pozzi, which led to Edoardo joining the school at the start of Year 10. His involvement with Italy Under-20s has given the talented back eligibility for a sporting visa to progress into the Senior Academy.

Todaro had a spectacular start to life as a senior rugby player in 2025/26, scoring on his Saints debut against Exeter Chiefs in September 2025, the first 10 tries he would score in 13 appearances, enough to earn him the club’s Supporters’ Player of the Season award.

He made his international debut for Italy against Chile in November 2025 but, cruelly, his breakthrough campaign was cut short by an ACL injury suffered while training with the Azzurri after being called up for the 2026 Six Nations.
