Lock George Tonga’uiha joined up with his boyhood club ahead of the 2026/27 season, penning his first professional contract after graduating from the Club’s Academy system. 

Tonga’uiha is a name that Saints supporters are already familiar with, and George became the latest with that surname to join the Club after signing on with Northampton in June 2026 – following in the footsteps of his father and Saints legend, Soane, and his older brother and current Saint, Sonny. 

The NSB schoolboy was a part of the Saints Academy set-up since the age of 14, and enjoyed international recognition already – getting involved in multiple England age-grade camps, most recently facing France with the Under-19s.
