Arrive early, leave late this Saturday

Saturday’s game kicks off at 3:15pm, not because of any live TV coverage, but to stagger the finishes of the respective matches being played at Franklin’s Gardens and Sixfields, where Northampton Town are hosting Morecambe.

The Wasps game is the last to be played at Franklin’s Gardens on a Saturday until at least May, which is why the Saints’ management have kept the kick off as close to the club’s preferred time as possible.

But given the experiences of previous matches this season, kicking the game off 15 minutes after the Cobblers improves traffic flow on Edgar Mobbs Way after the final whistle. The Saints’ traffic management system will also be in operation.

Nevertheless, supporters of both clubs are advised to allow additional time to travel to and from west Northampton, where heavy traffic is anticipated.

There is no need to rush off after the Saints game, with live music in the Rodber Suite and the Six Nations game between France and Scotland being shown on the big screens in the bars around Franklin’s Gardens.

Car parks open from 12noon, as do the Matchday Village and bars, with the main stadium opening at 1pm.

The Saints’ management thanks supporters in advance for their patience.
