Northampton Saints Community has launched a series of Coaching Development Evenings during the 2025/26 season to engage and develop rugby coaches in the region.
The sessions will give participants an opportunity to learn about Northampton Saints’ coaching techniques and principles on show at the masterclass, which will be centred around a specific area of the game, including attack, tackle and breakdown, kicking, half backs and scrummaging and junior masterclass.
Northampton Saints Community coaches implement the same philosophy, language and core games utilised by the Club’s First Team and Academy coaches to ensure a consistent theme from club and school delivery in the community through to the Foundation and Development phases on the Academy pathway.
Participants will receive the session plan and enter a discussion around the themes, games and practices on show for that evening’s topic, as well as a commentary and discussion from the Club’s Rugby Development Officer leading on Coach Development.

“We’ve been looking at the best way to offer additional coach development opportunities for a while now and feel this is a great way to work with coaches across community clubs and share the ‘Saints Way’ with them.”

“We’ll be announcing the June dates later on in the season to complete this year’s programme, and the ultimate goal is to roll this programme out alongside masterclasses in our Suffolk and Beds/Bucks hubs in future seasons.”
