After a three-year hiatus, one of the most-exclusive and eagerly-anticipated events in Northampton Saints’ calendar is back! The Hall of Fame Dinner returns to cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens on Thursday 20 November – welcoming a new group of club legends into the illustrious Northampton Saints Hall of Fame.
Established in 2004, the Hall of Fame Dinner is a cherished tradition, honouring those who have made an extraordinary impact in the Black, Green and Gold.
The last cohort – Keith Barwell OBE, Ian Hunter, Steve Thompson, Albert Orton, Blair Swannell, Freddie Blakiston, Peter Larter, and Barry Oldham – were inducted in 2018, and now a new group of legendary Saints will be celebrated this November. This year’s dinner will see nine Saints legends join this distinguished group. The first inductee of 2025 is JIM MALLINDER – one of Northampton’s all-time coaching greats having steered the men in Black, Green and Gold to a double-winning season in 2014. The remaining eight inductees will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Guests for the event will enjoy a three-course meal in the Rodber Bar, with Club Historian and BBC journalist Graham McKechnie hosting what promises to be an unforgettable evening of celebration and inspiration.
“Our history is the foundation on which Northampton Saints is built, and the Hall of Fame Dinner is a truly special occasion that allows us to honour the remarkable individuals who have shaped our club’s legacy,” said Julia Chapman, Northampton Saints’ Chief Executive. “After three years away, we are absolutely delighted to bring this cherished event back to cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens.
“Welcoming a new group of legends into the Hall of Fame is not only a celebration of their extraordinary achievements in the Black, Green and Gold, but also a chance for our entire Saints family – players, staff, supporters, and partners – to come together and reflect on the values and traditions that make this Club unique.
“The Hall of Fame Dinner is always a night to remember, filled with stories, laughter, and inspiration. We look forward to reconnecting with our past, celebrating our present, and inspiring the next generation of Saints. I have no doubt this year’s event will be an unforgettable evening for everyone involved.”

The 2009/10 season brought the first major domestic trophy of his tenure, winning the Anglo-Welsh Cup, as well as a PREM semi-final and European quarter-final.
The illustrious PREM title came for Mallinder’s Saints side in the 2013/14 season after beating Saracens in extra time, as well as winning the Challenge Cup, which represented a historic double.
Mallinder’s tenure saw the likes of Ben Foden, Courtney Lawes, and Tom Wood become Club legends and leave a lasting legacy in Northampton.
