Northampton Saints have been drawn into Pool 3 of the 2023/24 Champions Cup, and will lock horns with Munster Rugby, Aviron Bayonnais, Glasgow Warriors and RC Toulon during the competition’s opening rounds.
The draw – which took place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier today – saw the 24 teams in the Champions Cup drawn into four pools of six teams, with Saints set to head to either Ireland, Scotland and France next season.
Saints will face familiar foes in reigning URC champions Munster for the second consecutive season, while the men in Black Green and Gold will take on Glasgow in a competitive fixture for the first time since 2016. And Phil Dowson’s side are also set to lock horns with Bayonnais for the first time in the Club's history as well as TOP 14 giants Toulon – a side they haven’t faced since 2009. Fellow Gallagher Premiership side Exeter Chiefs were also drawn into Pool 3 but Saints will not face the English side during the pool stages.
The Champions Cup will be played over eight weekends, with four pool stage rounds and four knockout stage rounds, culminating in the London 2024 finals which will be staged at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next May. To view a summary of the new EPCR tournament formats, please CLICK HERE.
