Saints supporting Northampton town carols

The Saints has traditionally held its own carol concert in the stands at Franklin’s Gardens. But, as with this year’s fireworks display, the club’s management is encouraging all supporters to show their pride in our town by taking part in this wonderful occasion in Northampton town centre to celebrate the festive season.

Northampton Borough Council’s Festival of Carols and Songs will be hosted by BBC Radio Northampton and will feature music from the Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust’s County Training Brass Band. With free entry for all, the Festival will start at 4pm and last for approximately one hour.

“The carol concert has been one of our favourite events over the past few years, and we have regularly hosted thousands of supporters to celebrate the festive season,” said Saints chief executive Allan Robson. “However with Northampton Borough Council continuing their recent policy of introducing events for the whole town we feel it is appropriate to embrace the Borough Council’s community spirit in respect of the Festival of Carols and Songs, as we did with the recent fireworks display.

“I’m sure all of our supporters will do the same, and make the Festival an evening to remember!”

The Festival of Carols and Songs is part of a series of events and performances in Northampton town centre this December.

Sunday, December 14th will also include performances in the Market Square from Grafton District Scout Band and the Rock Choir, and the town’s German Christmas Market is open on Abington Street between 10am and 9pm every day until December 21st.
