Saints Academy winger, Ollie Sleightholme has been selected for the Team England Sevens side that will travel to the Bahamas for this year's VIth Commonwealth Youth Games.
The Bahamas 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games will be the largest international sporting event ever to be hosted in The Bahamas, and the largest-ever edition of the Youth Games, with up to 1300 athletes aged 14-18 set to attend.
The nation's first-ever international multi-sport event will see 94 medals contested across Athletics, Aquatics (Swimming), Beach Soccer, Boxing, Cycling (Road), Judo, Rugby Sevens, Tennis and (subject to final confirmation) Beach Volleyball.
Saints' Academy Manager Dusty Hare said that the Saints coaching staff are delighted with the call-up.
"Everyone at Saints is delighted for Ollie. He has progressed well over the last few years and it has come together for him with this recognition.
"We're all very jealous of him getting to spend a couple of weeks in The Bahamas but it will be a brilliant experience for him to develop his Sevens skills and his wider rugby skills.
"We're very proud of him."
