From the Study Centre:
December saw the end of the Autumn Term ‘Playing For Success’ sessions, which we celebrated with the children, staff and parents from Lyncrest, Abbey, Kingsley, Woodvale, Lings, Lumbertubs and Boothville primary schools. Over 370 people were at this event!
Special guests for the evening of celebration were Phil Dowson and James Craig, as well as Bernie the Saints Mascot. The children received a Saints T-shirt and medal! A big thank you must also go to the Saints players who kindly signed the children’s certificates.
Kevin Burke, the County Jester was on hand to demonstrate his circus skills. Many of the children came out and performed their skills to the audience - a big achievement in itself for many of these youngsters!
The Saints’ Aviva Premiership and Challenge Cup trophies were also on show for the parents, children and guests to have their photographs taken alongside- a great thrill for all for all concerned!!
A big thank you to our partner schools and everyone who has been involved to make this Playing For Success term such a wonderful experience for the children and for a fantastic Presentation Evening. We look forward to seeing you all next year!

One of the child’s grandparents attended the evening and said: “My granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed her time at The Saints Study Centre. She’s been looking forward to the Presentation Evening for ages, especially meeting the players.
“It gives them confidence, going out of their comfort zone coming to a place like the Saints.”
