Scrums and sums!

The research, which was commissioned to support the Aviva Tackling Numbers programme, revealed that maths topped the table as the subject that parents struggle with the most, with algebra, fractions and trigonometry more feared than an Aviva Premiership Rugby front-row.

The study also revealed that four in 10 parents admit there was competition between themselves and other parents when it came to homework, and even admitted turning to Google when trying to help their kids.

The innovative programme is aimed at improving numeracy levels amongst more than 38,000 children across England, and over a three-year period, the programme is set to be delivered in 720 primary schools by all 12 Premiership Rugby clubs.

As well as delivering maths in a fun and engaging way, the programme is aimed at preparing young people for their future, where basic financial skills are a necessity.

Aviva is providing the opportunity for you to win the chance to have the Saints deliver the Aviva Tackling Numbers programme at a school of your choice. CLICK HERE to nominate a school by 5pm on Friday, January 30th. Terms and Conditions apply.

You can put your maths to the test and find out more about the Aviva Tackling Numbers programme by visiting www.aviva.co.uk/tacklingnumbers.
