Already the February half-term is fast approaching and that means, so is the next chance to get to the home of the Saints for an Elite Insurance Rugby Academy!

Aimed at aspiring players between 6 and 16 years old, the three-day course is due to take place at the home of the Saints between February 17th and 19th, with coaching led by the Saints community team and selected players.

All abilities are welcomed, with skills, drills and competitions - including the Kick, Pass, Run Challenge – providing a brilliant opportunity to brush up on the essential skills of the game.

And for the smaller supporter in black, green and gold, the team have also confirmed details of the next batch of Little Saints sessions, aimed at getting 2 to 7 year olds playing rugby for the first time.

The Little Saints programme is the first step in your child’s development allowing them to make new friends and improve their self-confidence within a group while also tackling a number of activities ranging from kicking, running, passing and agility based skills.

Sessions take place at Franklin’s Gardens on Monday mornings or Thursday afternoons (starting from January 19th), costing just £6.50. Full details on how to book for your Little Saint are available HERE.

Finally, the Prince’s Trust are bringing their Get Started With Sport programme to Franklin’ Gardens, too in February.

The initiative, which targets 16 to 25 year olds not at college or in work, provides a fantastic chance to gain coaching and leadership qualifications with the Premiership champions.

Get Started With Sport also focuses on building teamwork, communication skills and confidence, with certificates and references upon completion along with an RFU Rugby Ready Qualification.

Attendees also receive help with travel costs and lunch, along with three months support after the programme to help you progress.

The course runs from February 16th to 20th, with a taster session taking place on Tuesday, February 10th.
