Dates and times for Saints’ Heineken Champions Cup fixtures confirmed

Dates and kick-off times for Northampton Saints’ four pool stage matches in this season’s Heineken Champions Cup have now been confirmed.

Back in June, the men in Black, Green and Gold were drawn against Stade Rochelais and Munster Rugby for the opening rounds of the competition, and will travel to France and Ireland either side of Christmas.

The Club is delighted to confirm that official travel supplier Sportsbreaks.com will be offering a supporter package for the trip to Stade Rochelais. See below for more information.

Phil Dowson’s side open up the competition at the Stade Marcel-Deflandre on Saturday 10 December (kick-off: 6.30pm local time).

Saints then return to cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens the following weekend to lock horns with Munster on Sunday 18 December (kick-off: 1.00pm local time).

In January, Northampton will first travel to Thomond Park for the return leg against the Irish province on Saturday 14 January (kick-off 3.15pm local time), before welcoming Stade Rochelais back to the Gardens on Saturday 21 January (kick-off: 1.00pm local time).

Saints will face the competition’s defending champions, Stade Rochelais, for the first time in the Club’s history – while it is over a decade since Northampton met Munster in any competitive fixture. The clash will be a repeat of the 2000 Heineken Cup final, when Saints prevailed 9-8 at Twickenham in what remains the Club’s only triumph to date in Europe’s top tier competition.

Supporter Travel

Sportsbreaks.com, the official travel supplier of Northampton Saints, will be offering a supporter package for the trip to Stade Rochelais.

All flights, transfers, match tickets and a one-night hotel stay are included within the £365pp package, which also provides the unique opportunity to fly alongside the Club’s players and coaches on the same charter flight. A flight and match ticket-only option is also available at £245pp.

For supporters making their own way to La Rochelle, an allocation of tickets is also available to book directly from Stade Rochelais HERE.

Please note, due to the availability of commercial flights, the Club will not be operating a trip to Munster in January 2023, but we will update supporters as soon as Northampton’s allocation of tickets goes on sale – to be the first to receive the latest Saints news, tickets and competitions, make sure you are signed-up to hear from us HERE.
