Tom Litchfield named cinch Player of the Month for March

Tom Litchfield has been named cinch Player of the Month for March, after pipping his fellow nominees to top the supporter vote as his appearances throughout the month impressed Northampton Saints supporters.

Saints took to the field three times throughout March, beginning their month with a 31-14 defeat to Exeter Chiefs in the PREM Rugby Cup semi-final before heading back into the Gallagher PREM and maintaining their place at the top of the league table – securing back-to-back wins against first Newcastle Red Bulls (28-27) at home and then against Saracens in a thrilling encounter at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (17-21).

Litchfield enjoyed a stellar month in Black, Green and Gold, featuring in all three clashes and scoring a try in each – while also making a whopping 221 metres in 32 carries, and producing the all-important assist for the match-winning try against Saracens while scoring the final try himself against Newcastle.

It was a hotly-contested vote this month but ultimately it was the centre that came away with the majority of Saints supporters’ plaudits – pipping fellow nominees Archie McParland, Tom Pearson and James Ramm.

Throughout the season, cinch will also be offering up a range of prizes for those who vote for the award, with one lucky supporter each month selected at random after voting closes.

This month, Catherine Miah was chosen out of over 700 supporters who voted – winning a Saints ball signed by this month’s winner, Tom Litchfield.
