Fresh from beating the United States 74-6 in Chicago on Saturday evening, Steve Hansen’s side land on good form.
But the Saintsman - in fine fettle himself - believes England have what it takes to challenge an All Blacks side who have lost just once since they were toppled at Twickenham two autumns back.
“We’ve got to be ready to go,” he told the EnglandRugby.com Podcast. “They got a good run out against the Americans last week and they’ll be coming here ready to play.
“We have to make sure we can step up to the plate from minute one.
“We went over there in the summer and we didn’t quite get there, but we pushed them. That’s important and now it’s time for us to step up at home and show everyone what we can really aspire to be.
“We need to get over this barrier of ‘wow, they beat New Zealand’ and get to the stage where people know we’re in with a very good chance of beating them.
“I’m sure the crowd will get behind us and we’ll be doing our best to get into them.”
