Olver has proved crucial for the Midlands outfit during his six Championship appearances, scoring 61 points off the boot. Despite being just 20-years-old, the son of former England hooker John boasts plenty of experience, not least through his involvement in England's triumphant 2014 IRB Junior World Championship squad.

"I'm really honoured to have been voted November's Player of the Month,” Olver commented. “I've only been at Moseley a short while, so to have made a positive impression amongst supporters is a really big achievement.

"I'm really enjoying my time at the club. Game time is crucial for any player and I'm really grateful to Moseley for giving me the opportunity to develop, and hopefully, help the club in its Championship campaign.”

Moseley head coach Kevin Maggs has been pleased by Olver’s contribution at Billesley Common.

"It's great that Sam has been recognised as one of the stand out individuals in the league, especially given how many talented players there are in this competition,” he added. “He has been a real asset to Moseley both from a playing and off-field perspective and on behalf of the club, I'd like to congratulate him on being named Player of the Month.”

Olver edged the title over Rotherham Titan's Joel Gill, who came a close second. Tom Kessell of Cornish Pirates came in 3rd, with nearly 2,000 votes cast in total.
