Voting has opened for the Steffans Player of the Month for January, an action packed start to 2016 for the Saints.
A home victory over Exeter was followed by the epic East Midlands derby at Tigers, while back-to-back Champions Cup victories sealed a quarter final berth for the second straight year.
Having started every game he was available for in the month, tight-head Paul Hill also earned a first senior call from new England coach Eddie Jones. It was the latest highlight of an excellent first season with the Saints, one in which Hill had yet to miss a game until his international call-up.
Next on the list is Harry Mallinder, whose back-to-back Heineken Man of the Match awards helped the Saints secure a pair of vital European wins. A try in the dying moments at Franklin’s Gardens crucially helped Saints edge past Glasgow and Mallinder would open the scoring six days later in West Wales, also assisting a try for George North in the bonus point win.
Last but by no means least is Alex Waller, the prop among a group of five Saints to have appeared in every 2015/16 fixture to date. No player outside the back row has made more tackles in black, green and gold, while the 25-year-old continued his incredible personal run of featuring in every Premiership and Champions Cup weekend since 2011.
