New Saints recruit Charlie Clare says that he is excited to back at a Premiership Rugby club having joined Saints from Bedford over the summer.
The hooker joins the Saints having spent three years at Bedford Blues after first being a part of the Leicester Tigers Academy.
“It’s been really interesting! It’s been completely different to what I’ve been used to the last three years but it’s just been really exciting getting back into this environment,” said Clare, speaking to Saints TV.
“It’s obviously been really tough because it’s been pre-season but I’m really enjoying it so far.”
Pre-season training started last week and Clare says that he is most looking forward to just getting involved with preparing for the forthcoming season.
“(I’m looking forward to) just getting stuck in, and trying my hardest and trying to earn the respect of the people here.
“I can already see in the culture of the club that if you put the work in, no one’s going to have a go at you, so that’s really what I’m looking forward to and just taking my opportunity.”
