Sleightholme named cinch Player of the Month for March

Ollie Sleightholme’s performances in Rounds 13 and 14 of the Gallagher Premiership saw the prolific winger named cinch Player of the Month for March. 

The 24-year-old continued his try-scoring streak last month, scoring three tries in Saints’ two Premiership outings, against Bristol Bears (where Saints lost 52-21 on the road) and Saracens (a 41-30 win against the reigning champions) – putting his record to 10 scores in the league so far this season – and beating 10 defenders and making 149 metres in those two matches alone. 

Other top performers from that five-try victory against Saracens, Trevor Davison, Emmanuel Iyogun, Curtis Langdon and Fin Smith, were also shortlisted but it was the winger who topped the supporter vote – coming away with 40% of the votes to take home the gong. 

Throughout the season, cinch will also be offering up a range of prizes for those who vote for the award, with one lucky supporter each month selected at random after voting closes.

This month, one lucky supporter was chosen from those who voted, with William Overland selected at random out of almost 500 supporters who voted to collect a shirt signed by the winger.
