Rugby Development Officer (Suffolk)
ROLE LEVEL: Employee
DURATION: Permanent
LOCATION: Ipswich Rugby Club - with travel in and around the Suffolk area
REPORTS TO: Head of Community
SALARY: £26,000 (dependant on experience)
PURPOSE:
To develop the game of rugby throughout Suffolk, within schools, rugby clubs and the wider community, through the strategized delivery of programming and with a view to grow the Saints brand and work towards achieving the key objectives of the Saints Community Vision Statement.
To create ongoing sustainability in all areas of work with links into local rugby clubs, schools and to align these relationships with the Foundation Phase Programme and the Eastern Counties.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Building links between all clubs and schools across Suffolk and North Essex to aid in recruitment for club.
- Raising the standard of coaching in the community.
- Developing a strategy to fulfil the potential of rugby within Suffolk and North Essex and planning/reviewing the Community Rugby Coaches’ work program.
- Identifying new funding streams and opportunities to grow the level of delivery in the area.
- Promote revenue growth for the business through identification of new business and ticket sales opportunities.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- Qualifications & Experience
- Hold the England Rugby Coaching Award qualification
- Hold a valid driver’s licence
- Line management experience – desired but not essential
- Personal Attributes
- Ability to manage your own workload
- This role will be field based and therefore an ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication
