How To Find Us
Franklin’s Gardens, home of Northampton Saints, is located in the St James area of Northampton – approximately one mile from the town centre.
Seating up to 15,153 people, the ground has hosted the Club since the late 1880s and while the stadium has changed shape many times over the years, is now made up of the DPD Stand, South Stand, Church’s Stand and Barwell Stand.

Getting here by Car
Franklin’s Gardens has more than 1,500 parking spaces across six supporter car parks, all within easy walking distance of the stadium. As the stadium is located within a residential area, we strongly encourage visitors to use the Club’s official car parks.
Travelling via the M1
- Exit at Junction 15a (if travelling northbound) or Junction 16 (if travelling southbound).
- Follow signs for Northampton and Sixfields.
- Alternatively, follow the brown rugby-ball tourist signs.
- At the third roundabout after leaving the motorway, turn right onto the A5076 (next to Sixfields Stadium).
- Continue straight across the mini roundabout onto Edgar Mobbs Way.
- Follow signs to the stadium car parks.
Matchday Travel
Traffic around Franklin's Gardens can be busier than usual on matchdays, particularly in the period before kick-off and after the final whistle. We recommend allowing extra time for your journey and arriving early where possible.

Please double check and use the correct postcode when travelling to our supporter car parks. Using the main stadium postcode may direct you to the wrong entrance.
Car Parks
Please note, unless you have pre-booked parking at the stadium, visitors must use Car Park D on matchdays.

Additional parking is available in the Claret Car Park (NN5 5JE), which is operated by West Northamptonshire Council.
On Saints matchdays which do not clash with Northampton Town FC fixtures, visitors can use the Cobblers’ West Car Park (NN5 5QA) which is operated by the football club and is approximately a 15-20 minute walk (around one mile) from the entrance to the Supporter Village.
Media Parking
Media parking on matchdays is available in Car Park D.
Getting here by Train
Northampton Railway Station is approximately a 10-minute walk from Franklin’s Gardens.
Walking from the Station
- Exit the station and turn right onto Weedon Road.
- Continue along Weedon Road towards the stadium.
- Cross to the left-hand side of the road near The Thomas A Beckett pub.
- Franklin's Gardens will be visible on your left.
Taxi & Bus
- A taxi rank is located directly outside Northampton Railway Station.
- The Number 9 bus also serves the stadium area.
Travelling by Air
Our nearest airports are:
- London Luton Airport
- East Midlands Airport
- Birmingham Airport
All offer straightforward road or rail connections to Northampton.
