Northampton Saints and Loughborough Lightning are together offering a female rugby coaching development programme for grassroots coaches.
The 2024/25 season promises to be seismic one for women’s rugby with the 2025 World Cup coming to England with six matches being staged at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens – including a Red Roses fixture!
In a bid to help drive up the number of females involved in the game, Saints Community team is inviting women of all rugby abilities to join its Coaching Development Programme.
Suitable for existing and new coaches to develop their skills, the programme will provide CPD opportunities to expand knowledge in an array of different coaching environments working with a range of ages and abilities.
Included in the programme is a funded place on the England Rugby Coaching Award.
“This is an exciting opportunity for women to get involved in, no matter what their rugby ability or experience is,” said Tabitha Banks, Women and Girls Rugby Development Officer.
“There’s no better time to get involved in a course like this, with an exciting Premiership Women’s Rugby season ahead which is followed by the Six Nations and the World Cup – which has an incredible six games being staged right here at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens.
The Female Coaching Development Programme is open to any females aged 16 and over and of any rugby experience.
