Five Loughborough Lightning players have been named in the Red Roses 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup training squad.
Cath O’Donnell is included among 23 forwards after returning to full training following a knee injury that ruled her out for the entire 2024/25 Premiership Women’s Rugby season.
The second row’s most recent of her 30 international caps came against Wales in the 2023 Women’s Six Nations. She is joined in the squad by Lightning team-mates Lilli Ives Campion, Sadia Kabeya, Emily Scarratt and Helena Rowland.
The 42-player squad assembled at Hazelwood today (2 June) for the first training camp of the summer.
Head coach John Mitchell said: "We know how important and exciting 2025 is for women’s rugby in England. Today is the start of little wins where we will work hard into the tournament.”
