Lucia Scott, Helen Nelson and Leia Brebner-Holden have all been named in Scotland’s starting squad, with Elis Martin on the bench for their summer test against Italy this evening at Stadio Luigi Zaffanella, Viadana (25 July, Kick-off: 6:30pm BST).
It’s a first international start at fullback for Scott as part of a Lightning heavy backline, while Martin is primed to come off the bench and make an impact in the front row.
Nelson starts at fly-half and is named as vice-captain adding to her 70 international caps, she's part of an all Lightning half-back pairing with Brebner-Holden alongside her at scrum-half.
The fixture is the opening Summer Test match as part of their preparations for next month's Women's Rugby World Cup where Scotland will face Wales, Canada and Fiji in Pool B.
