Rhys Edwards makes three changes to his Loughborough Lightning side as they prepare for their last outing of the season at Loughborough University on Saturday.
Katie Trevarthen, Daisy Hibbert-Jones and Bo Westcombe-Evans come into the starting line up for the visit of Worcester Warriors Women, with Lightning’s side otherwise unchanged following their romping 74-0 win over Darlington Mowden Park Sharks last weekend.
Saturday’s match marks the side’s last outing in Loughborough before Lightning close out their season at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens on Saturday 3 June. Tickets for the last match of the season are still available, with prices starting from £7 adult / £3 junior*. While the match is not included in Saints’ 22/23 Season Ticket package, Northampton Season Ticket Holders can enjoy discounted prices for Loughborough’s matches. These can be accessed by signing into your Season Ticket account before purchasing.
Bulou Mataitoga shifts to fullback this week to allow incoming Westcombe-Evans to join Wales international Carys Williams-Morris on the wings, while Emma Hardy and Helen Nelson remaining inside them in the centres – with the Scotland international taking on the capains’ armband on Saturday.
Meanwhile, scrum-half Megan Davey and the Red Roses’ Helena Rowland steer Lightning’s ship from the half-back berths again this weekend.
Bryony Field and Scotland international Christine Belisle are joined by Trevarthen in the front row and Lilli Ives-Campion and Red Rose Morwenna Talling keep their places behind them in the engine room.
Hibbert-Jones shifts into the starting line-up this weekend to start at No. 8, joining Canada’s Sara Svoboda and England’s Sadia Kabeya in the back row to complete the pack.
