Loughborough Lightning winger Ellen Scantlebury will start for England Students on Friday evening (8 August, kick-off: 6:30pm BST) at the Army Rugby Stadium against the UK Armed Forces side.
It’s set to be a momentous occasion, marking the re-establishment of the Women’s Student programme after 20 years.
The fixture will serve as a warm-up for the Women’s International Defence Rugby Competition taking place in England in August, leading up to the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025.
Andrew Ford, alongside assistant coaches Poppy Leitch and Amber Reed, has been preparing the squad from across various BUCS institutions in a week-long training camp.
