Loughborough Lightning have had six players named in England’s 38-strong training squad today, with the Red Roses currently preparing for back-to-back fixtures against Canada.
Grace Clifford, Daisy Hibbert-Jones, and Lilli Ives Campion are all yet to be capped at international level, while Sadia Kabeya, Cath O’Donnell, and Helena Rowland will be looking to add to 13, 27 and 24 Test appearances respectively in the Summer Series.
Meanwhile Emily Scarratt has returned to Loughborough to continue her injury rehab with Lightning.
The England squad began with two camps in Chester, before returning south to Pennyhill Park last week, and interim head coach Louis Deacon has been impressed by the quality and the unity on display.
“The start of our new journey together as a squad has been very enjoyable,” he said.
“Not only has there been positive progression on the field, but we have seen an incredible desire from the players and staff to do their best for one another, for the benefit of the Red Roses.”
