Northampton Saints vs Bristol Bears

Van Wyk comes back onto this pitch for the scrum and Furbank makes way.

Penalty at the scrum again and time is up here. Bristol opt for a scrum again.

Hutchinson makes way for Craig as Bristol opt for the scrum with their penalty. 

Bristol send the penalty into the corner again.

No try says the TMO but we come back to the penalty. Madigan sends it to the corner.

Bristol maul again and have an advantage coming. They think they're over the line and we're with the TMO.

Bristol have the advantage coming at the lineout and play on before coming back for it. Madigan sends it to the corner.

Mitchell replaces Naiyaravoro as we set the lineout.

Bristol maul into Saints' 22 and earn a penalty there. They go quickly. 

Saints come forwards again and Ludlam charges up the right. And Waller does the same in the middle. But there Bristol awarded a penalty and Sheedy clears to touch for a lineout just outside Saints' 22. 

Knock on from Bristol at the lineout though and Saints will have the scrum. 

Bristol maul forwards and then bring the ball out. It goes loose and though Bristol collect it, they're pushed back. But we come back for a late tackle from Waller that the TMO spotted. Madigan - who came on in the last stoppage - sends it to touch.

But the TMO intervenes before Francis can take it and reverses the penalty as Wood is penalised for tackling without the ball. Sheedy sends the into touch for a lineout near halfway.

Wood breaks off the back of the scrum and Naiyaravoro is with him. Saints are back up to the 22 now and earn a penalty there. Francis points to the posts. 

Not straight at the lineout from Bristol and Saints have the scrum. 

Ford-Robinson - who comes on for his first Prep appearance since last March - replaces Hill as we set the lineout. 

But Bristol earn a penalty at the ruck and clear to touch for a lineout outside their own 22. 

Lam picks the ball from the scrum quickly and Bristol look to come forwards but Saints slow their progress well. Reinach strips the ball in a tackle and Saints are back in attack. 

Moon is up for the lineout but Bristol hold the maul up and earn the scrum. 

And Eadie is replaced by Gibson as we set this lineout.

Quick hands at the lineout get the ball into the midfield sharpish. And Saints earn a penalty as Bristol are penalised for another high tackle. Grayson sends it into the corner. 

Waller replaces Van Wyk as we set the lineout. 

Moon is up for the lineout and Saints are over the halfway line quickly. There they earn a penalty and Francis sends it to the corner.

Saints push Bristol back at the maul and the away side come wide. Saints pressure well and though Bristol come back the other way, Saints earn a penalty at the ruck. Francis sends the ball into touch for a lineout inside Bristol's half. 

Saints come forwards from the restart again but are penalised at the breakdown. Sheedy sends the ball into the corner. 

Fish comes on for Marshall as we set the lineout. 

Penalty Bristol as Saints are penalised for a high tackle. Sheedy sends it to touch.

Bristol look to come wide from the scrum but Saints put a stop to that. The away side keep pushing though.

But Bristol get over the ball and Sheedy sends it to touch. Tuala keeps the ball in but Saints knock on just after. Scrum Bristol.

Reinach boxes and Randall is there. Bristol come wide but Saints defend well. Randall boxes again and Naiyaravoro is away. Saints are back up to the 22 again now. 

Scrappy at the lineout and Bristol keep the ball but are pushing back several years. Randall boxes and Tuala is there. Saints begin to push again.

Saints clear the restart well and Bristol have the lineout but back at halfway. 

Tuala takes the restart and Saints look to play from deep. Francis is nearly through and Naiyaravoro makes some yards out wide before picking and going to get Saints over halfway.

No conversion in the breeze from Francis but Saints are back within a score. 

Ratuniyarawa is up for the lineout and Saints come forwards again. Tuala breaks through the middle and the ball comes wide to Naiyaravoro. Moon charges forwards too and Saints are within inches now.

Overthrown from Saints and Thacker is on it. Grayson takes him down well and Uren is forced to clear. Lineout Saints.

Sheedy sends the skywards again and Naiyaravoro is there this time. Saints come forwards and are inside Bristol's half again quickly. Tuala scampers up the right and Saints earn a penalty there. Francis sends it to the corner. 

Bristol look to come forwards from the restart but are halted by Saints. Sheedy sends the high ball up and Bristol recollect it. They come forwards again. 

Furbank gets us restarted here at the Gardens!

Saints make good progress after turning the ball over but Bristol turn the ball too and Uren clears to touch. Lineout Saints in their own half. 

Penalty Bristol at the scrum and they kick to touch. It doesn't make it and Naiyaravoro is there. He bounces two Bristol defenders before finding Reinach outside him. The scrum-half chips through but the ball finds touch this time. Lineout Bristol.

Saints come forwards at the scrum but they knock on and Bristol have the scrum. 

Penalty Saints for the high tackle and Francis sends the ball into touch. It doesn't quite make it but Protheroe knocks the highball on. Scrum Saints on the five metre. 

Wood is up for the lineout and Francis is flying off the back of it. Saints come forwards once more. 

Bristol come forwards from the lineout but Van Wyk is over the ball at the restart and earns the side another penalty there. Francis sends it to touch for a lineout back in Bristol's half. 

Protheroe replaced Charles Piutau as we restarted.

Wide on the conversion from Francis but Saints press on from the restart. Tuala clears well and Bristol have the lineout back near halfway.

Moon is up for the lineout this time and Saints maul forwards. Reinach uses the ball and Saints press forwards. They're up to the five metre line...

But Saints are turned over at the ruck and Bristol come wide. There though, Ludlam is over the ball and earns his side the penalty. Francis sends the ball into the corner.

Eadie again for the lineout and Saints come forwards once more. 

Uren boxes clear again after good pressure from Saints. Lineout Saints again.

Eadie is up for the lineout and Naiyaravoro breaks. He's up to the five metre line but his offload finds Thacker's hands. Bristol play on.

Solid from Saints at the lineout and Grayson sends the highball up Piutau is under it but Saints defend well and force Uren to box it clear. Lineout Saints on the Bristol 22. 

Reinach is off from the back of the scrum. He chips over the top and though Morahan is there, his foot finds touch just after. Lineout Saints. 

Bristol knock on at the base of a ruck and Saints will have the scrum.

Wide from Sheedy and Saints have the 22 drop. Furbank clears and Daniels is there. Bristol comes forwards again.

Saints make it up to the halfway line but are deemed to have knocked on there and Bristol will have the scrum.

Scrappy at the restart but Bristol just keep the ball. They comes wide and Uren boxes clear and Naiyaravoro is there. He sits down two members of the Bristol side before he's taken down and Saints are pushing again.

Bristol are forced to use the ball as Saints scrum well. Piutau comes forwards and Crane thinks he's over. We're with the TMO.

Solid scrum from Saints but Bristol come forwards and Daniels is through. He gets up to the five metres line before he's taken down. Hutchinson works hard for the turnover but Saints knock on just after. Scrum Bristol.

Free kick Saints at the scrum and they go quickly. The ball comes wide but there Tuala is held up and Bristol will have the scrum on halfway.

Bristol come forwards but knock the ball on and Saints will have the first scrum of the afternoon.

Good pressure from Saints at the lineout but they're penalised for playing the nine. Bristol clear again for another lineout. 

Good hands from Reinach find Wood and he in turn finds Moon. The lock makes it up to about ten metres short but is taken down. And Saints concede a penalty there. Bristol clears for a lineout back near halfway.

Bristol knock on as they come forwards from the lineout though and Saints play on. Naiyaravoro comes up before Eadie gets Saints into Bristol's half again. Saints keep coming.

No conversion from Sheedy and we play on. Bristol come forwards quickly from the restart and work their way into Saints' 22 before the ball comes off a Saints hand into touch. Lineout Bristol there.

Bristol look to come forwards from the lineout but Saints defend well and push them back to halfway. Bristol chip over the top and Furbank is there to clear. Bristol collect and play on though. 

Saints clear the kick-off well and Bristol have the lineout but as the ball comes wide Naiyaravoro gets a hand to it and Saints play on. But Bristol do the same as the ball comes the other way. They clear though and Furbank is there to clear. Lineout Bristol again.
