Northampton Saints vs Racing 92

Gibert's kick comes off the posts and Furbank collects it, Saints play on from their own five metre line. 

Saints defend hard off the back of the scrum but Racing manage to keep it and Russell sends it downfield. Racing chase too and get over the ball to earn the penalty with the final play of the match. 

Ludlam is up for the lineout and Dingwall gets play over the halfway line but as Saints try to come wide the ball comes forwards and Racing will have the scrum. 

Penalty Saints at the scrum and Furbank sends it to touch for a lineout on halfway. 

Russell sends a cross field over to Imhoff off the back of the lineout but he can't gather and Saints will have the scrum. 

Penalty Racing at the scrum as it comes up and Russell sends it to touch for a lineout on halfway. 

Saints maul forwards but as the ball comes inside, the ball goes forwards in contact and Racing will have the scrum. 

Penalty Saints at the scrum and Furbank puts it into the corner. 

Free kick Saints at the scrum and Saints choose to scrum again.

Knock on Racing at the lineout and Saints will have the scrum. 

Penalty coming for Saints at the maul and though they think they've over the line through skipper Ludlam, the TMO intervenes and we come back for the penalty instead. Furbank puts it into the corner. 

Sleightholme gets over the ball as Racing come forwards to earn Saints the penalty and Furbank sends it to touch for a lineout on Racing's 22. 

Ribbans is replaced by Coles as we set the lineout.

Ribbans is upfront or the lineout but Racing earn the penalty off the back of it and Russell sends it to touch for a lineout back inside Saints' half. 

Saints maul forwards and have an advantage coming as they close in on the try line. Eventually we come back for it and Furbank puts the ball back into the corner.

Racing turn the ball over off the back of the lineout but are pinged for offside as Russell clear. Furbank puts the resulting penalty into the corner.

Russell clears from the restart and Saints will have the lineout just outside the Racing 22. 

Lomani darts down the left before the ball comes to Fish in the midfield. He gets Saints back over into the Racing 22 before it comes wide again to Ludlam and Skosan. But as the ball comes back inside, Saints loose the possession and Racing clear. The referee says the ball was touched in flight and so Racing have the lineout on halfway. 

Scrappy at the lineout and Saints come away with it. Wood worms his way forwards before Ribbans pushes further forwards. Saints keep coming. 

Racing return Furbank's restart and Freeman is there and he finds Augustus. Saints push forwards before Furbank sends a grubber through to touch. Lineout Racing in their own 22 now.

Saints are deemed offside as Racing work close and Machenaud points to the posts with the resulting penalty. 

Racing go short at the lineout and are up to Saints' five metre line now.

Carey replaces Painter as we set the resulting lineout. 

Racing come forwards and Skosan is pinged for a high tackle as they reach the 22. Russell sends it to the corner.

Mitchell is replaced by Lomani as we set the lineout. 

Saints disrupt Racings maul but the away side keep possession and come wide. They knock on on the floor there though and Furbank sends the loose ball downfield. Aerial tennis ensues and it's Sleightholme's kick that heads straight out. Lineout Racing just outside Saints' 22. 

Mitchell sends it high off the base of the ruck but his kick heads straight out and Racing will have the lineout on Saints' 22. 

Saints push Racing back with some string defence but Tanga breaks through and works up to Saints' 22 before he's taken down. Racing lose the ball as they reach Saints' 22 though and Saints play on.

Fish replaces Matavesi as we set the lineout.

But Racing turn the ball over and earn a penalty just after, with Russell sending the ball to touch himself for a lineout just outside Saints' 22 now. 

Dingwall is nearly through off the restart and Saints earn a penalty just after as Racing are pinged for a high tackle. Furbank sends it to touch for a lineout on Racing's 22. 

More changes for Saints as we restart, with Waller and Wood replacing Auterac and Wilkins. 

Saints push close from the lineout, getting up to the Racing five metre line quickly. And with an advantage coming, we eventually come back for it. Mitchell takes it quickly and Saints continue to push from close range. 

Two replacements for Saints as we set the lineout: Sleightholme and Hutchinson enter play, while Biggar and Proctor make way. 

Mitchell tears forwards off the back of the scrum and though Racing turn the ball over, Saints get over the ball at the breakdown to earn the penalty. Furbank sends the ball into touch for a lineout in Racing's 22. 

Saints pressure well though and Racing knock the ball on as they come wide. Scrum Saints. 

Machenaud sends the ball high off the restart but Saints knock the ball on as it comes back down and Racing play on. 

Russell return the restart Saints' way and Skosan and Wilkins push the home side forwards before Mitchell boxes high. Russell is there and Racing play on.

Biggar gets us restarted here at cinch Stadium at Franklin's Gardens.

No conversion from Machenaud out wide and Racing knock the ball on just after the restart. Scrum Saints in the midfield now.

Racing maul forwards off the lineout and work forwards into Saints' 22 off the back of it. 

Solid at the scrum again and Saints defend hard off the back of it but are penalised at the breakdown. Russell sends the resulting penalty into touch for a lineout inside Saints half. 

Saints push forwards but the ball comes loose in the midfield and Racing will have the scrum. 

Scrappy at the lineout but Saints manage to keep possession. Mitchell sends it downfield and Racing gather. They play on around halfway but Saints gather loose ball and Mitchell clears to touch. The ball comes off Racing hands again and it's Saints' lineout just outside the Racing 22. 

Mitchell boxes high off the restart, the ball heads into touch but it comes off Racing hands last and Saints will have the lineout. 

Advantage coming for Saints as Proctor breaks free into the Racing 22 and still Saints push, working up to the five metre line now.

Penalty Saints at the breakdown off the back of the lineout and Biggar sends it to touch for a lineout back inside Racing's half. 

Thomas hacks through off the back of the lineout and is in chase himself but the ball beats him to touch. Lineout Saints in their own 22. 

Machenuad clears the restart and Furbank is back to gather. Saints push forwards but heavy pressure from Racing's defence forces Mitchell to box. His kick heads straight into touch though and Racing will have the lineout just outside Saints' 22 now.

Russell chips over the top for Beale to chase, he gets there but a tap tackle from Proctor brings him down. Saints turn the ball over and Mitchell chips over the top this time. Racing come forwards dow the right and work up to Saints' 22 now. 

Saints come wide but are intercepted, Racing come forwards over the halfway line before hacking through. Freeman gather and Saints push forwards but Racing get over the ball at the next phase and earn the penalty. Machenaud points to the posts.

Solid at the scrum this time and Mitchell whips the ball away quickly, Saints continue to push.

Ribbans is up for the lineout but Racing knock the ball on just after and Saints will have the scrum. 

Ludlam is up for the lineout and Saints come wide quickly. Racing are penalised for being offside and when the ball heads into touch instead of Freeman's hands out wide, we come back for it. Biggar sends the ball into the corner.

Racing come forwards at the scrum but are penalised just after and Biggar sends the resulting penalty into touch for a lineout back near halfway. 

Not straight at the lineout from Racing and Saints will have the scrum. 

Saints make some progress but are penalised for rolling on the ground and Russell sends it into the corner for a lineout there.

Proctor and Dingwall team up in the midfield off the lineout before Freeman pushes forwards down the left. But Saints lose the ball and Russell sends it downfield to Furbank. The Saints fullback sends it back Racing's way but Biggar intercepts near halfway and Saints play on again.

Machenuad boxes high off the back of the lineout and finds touch. Lineout Saints this time.

Biggar sends the restart through to space in behind Racing's line and the ball bobbles into touch for a Racing lineout deep in their own 22. 

Good pressure from Saints in defence holds Racing for a time but the away side continue to push. 

Racing gather this restart and push forwards before the ball come back to Russell to send downfield. Aerial tennis ensues before Beale runs it back at Saints. The ball comes loose at the resulting breakdown but as Mitchell gathered, he's pinged for being offside. Russell sends it to touch for a lineout in Saints' 22. 

Dingwall taps the ball back to Matavesi but Racing intercept a loose pass after that. The away side charge forwards and work up to Saints' 22 quickly. They have an advantage coming as they work wide the other way and eventually we come back for it. Machenaud points for the posts again.

Racing gather Biggar's high ball and come forwards. Saints seem to get over the ball but are penalised at the breakdown. Machenaud points to the posts.

Saints attempt to clear the kick-off but are charged down. Racing chase but knock the ball dead, goal line drop out for Saints then.
