Voting is now open for the Travis Perkins Player of the Month prize for September, with supporters able to vote for the Saint they believe made the biggest contribution on the pitch over the course of the month.

The competition will remain open for one week before the winning player is announced by Northampton Saints and Travis Perkins, with voting closing at midnight on 12 September.

Travis Perkins are also offering a special prize for those that vote for the award; one lucky supporter who votes for their Player of the Month will be selected at random and win a £50 voucher to spend in the Saints Store.

Chris Boyd’s side started their Gallagher Premiership campaign in near-perfect fashion, performing impressively to open their account with a win against Gloucester Rugby at cinch Stadium at Franklin's Gardens, before defeating last season’s finalists Exeter Chiefs on the road to find themselves in third position on the league table after two rounds.

And those opening two performances produced a host of candidates for the monthly award, with Northampton’s coaches narrowing it down to four nominees – Fraser Dingwall, George Furbank, Api Ratuniyarawa and Tom Wood.

Making 16 carries in the opening two rounds as well as 14 tackles (with none missed) cemented Dingwall’s nomination this month, meanwhile Furbank boasted a 100% record from the kicking tee, two try assists and 223 metres with the ball in hand – sealing his place on the shortlist.

In the forwards, Ratuniyarawa’s eight carries and 100% record in defence in Saints’ first two outings caught the eye of the Northampton coaches, while Wood’s relentless work-rate saw him make 14 successful tackles across the opening two games, and steal two lineouts against Exeter alone (both of which led to Saints tries).

PLEASE NOTE: Only one vote per entrant will be counted.
