Academy duo feature for Scotland Under-20s

Scotland Under-20s Head Coach Bryan Redpath has named his side for their World Rugby U20 Championship in France.

And a duo of Saints youngsters are among the matchday 23 that takes to the field to face Italy in Béziers’ Stade de la Méditerranée tomorrow evening (kick-off 5.30pm BST).

In the forwards, Devante Onojaife starts the competition opener at number eight while centre Fraser Strachan begins the game on the bench.

Head Coach, Redpath, said: “The squad have trained well since arriving in France last week and I’ve been impressed with their commitment and desire to get better every day.

“We’ve chosen a side who we feel are the best prepared to go into Wednesday’s match. We’re focused and in a good place.

“Italy are a strong team and a side we obviously know well after facing them in the U20 Six Nations. We’ve got to manage the game in the right areas, while our set-piece has to be spot on. We’re all really looking forward to the challenge.”
