Age group action yields mixed results

On Friday the Under-18s headed to Harrow School to take on their counterparts from Bath, Exeter and Newport-Gwent Dragons.

The action came thick and fast, with matches coming hot on the heels of each other. And when the afternoon was over the Saints had a positive record, winning two of their matches and losing the other.

Rotimi Segun led the way in the first game, his two tries adding to one from Conor Bullivant to beat the Dragons 15-10. The second game, against Bath, didn't go quite to plan, the west country outfit winning 20-5, but by the third encounter the Saints youngsters were back on track.

Segun crossed the whitewash once more, with Jacob Conner, Nico Defeo and John Hawkins grabbing the other tries in a 20-0 victory over Exeter.

Then on Saturday the Under-15s and Under-16s played back-to-back matches against Worcester.

The Under-15s found the Warriors too hard to handle, going down 14-55, but the Under-16s put in a spirited performance to come away with a 14-13 victory.
