Alex Coles has been named cinch Player of the Month for May, after the back rower’s performances throughout the month impressed Northampton Saints supporters.
The England lock played his final Saints matches of the season as the Club featured five times throughout May; opening the month with a historic 34-37 victory over Leinster Rugby in Dublin to reach the Investec Champions Cup Final, Saints then returned to league action to face Exeter Chiefs on the road (42-14) before claiming a 28-24 victory over Saracens in their final home clash of the season.
Featuring across the second and back row for Saints in May, Coles made some 25 carries and 40 tackles across those games, while also scoring two tries for Northampton in the Champions Cup Final.
And Coles took home the May prize after topping the supporter vote, coming away with a whopping with 48% of the votes to finish ahead of fellow nominees Tommy Freeman, Curtis Langdon, Tom Litchfield and Ed Prowse.
A bridge too far, but the boys gave it everything in Cardiff.

Throughout the season, cinch will also be offering up a range of prizes for those who vote for the award, with one lucky supporter each month selected at random after voting closes.
This month, Jessica Smith was chosen out of over 1,000 supporters who voted to collect a Saints ball signed by the 2024/25 squad.
