Arrive early and leave late to ease congestion this Saturday

Saints are hosting Treviso in a televised European Rugby Champions Cup tie, with Northampton Town playing Plymouth Argyle. The Saints have had the kick off time chosen by BT Sport, while the distance being travelled by Plymouth supporters has meant that the kick off time at Sixfields could not be moved either.

Supporters of all clubs – and the general public – are therefore encouraged to allow plenty of time for their journeys through Sixfields, Upton and St James.

There is plenty of entertainment happening at Franklin’s Gardens both before and after the Saints’ game, including an Under-13 tournament, post-match live music and the best action from across Europe being shown on the big screens in the bars.

The Saints is also paying for traffic management post-match to try and make journeys away from Franklin’s Gardens as smooth as possible.

This will see Edgar Mobbs Way be a two-lane one-way road between the Saints car parks and Sixfields, with Northampton Town’s exiting traffic having to join the flow onto Upton Way.

Traffic exiting the Saints car parks will also be able to travel towards Northampton town centre via St James Mill Road, as per a usual match day.

The Saints car parks open at 12noon, with the Village and bars also opening at 12noon.

Supporters can also use other local car parks in Northampton town centre and walk the final part of their journey to Franklin’s Gardens, or use public transport alternatives.
