Biggar leads Wales in Bloemfontein

Dan Biggar will lead Wales against South Africa in the second Test on Saturday – with the Northampton Saints fly-half captaining the side in Bloemfontein.

Head coach Wayne Pivac makes just one change to the side that was narrowly defeated by the Springboks last weekend, but sticks with the 32-year-old to lead from fly-half this weekend (Saturday 9 July, kick-off: 4.05pm BST). This match is live on Sky Sports with highlights on S4C.

Pivac said: “It was a great atmosphere last week and we’re expecting more of the same from the crowd in Bloemfontein this Saturday.

“[The announcement of Jacques Nienaber as Springboks head coach earlier this week] hasn’t changed our preparation at all. It’s going to be fifteen rugby players in green shirts. We’re expecting more of the same. They are a very experienced team no matter what combinations they put out. This side is one to be respected and not taken lightly.”
