BT Sport Match Pass: All You Need To Know

Northampton Saints welcome Exeter Chiefs to Franklin’s Gardens this weekend, with Chris Boyd’s side running out on home soil for the final time in the 2020/21 season on Sunday 6 June (kick-off: 3pm).

And while there will be 4,000 supporters inside the stadium again after the Franklin's Gardens faithful made their long-awaited return last week, the Club has once again teamed up with BT Sport to offer our Season Ticket Holders access free of charge to home games played behind closed doors or with a limited capacity via the BT Sport App.

The BT Sport Match Pass is designed for Saints’ Season Ticket Holders who do not already have a BT Sport subscription.

What is the BT Sport Match Pass?

The BT Sport Match Pass is a one-off pass offered free-of-charge to Northampton Saints Season Ticket Holders allowing them the chance to watch a game that is being broadcast on the BT Sport App during the period in which 2020/21 Gallagher Premiership matches are being played either behind closed doors or with limited capacity crowds.

The BT Sport Match Pass offer is only available on a match-by-match basis, meaning Northampton Saints Season Ticket Holders will require a separate match pass for each individual fixture.

Who is eligible?

The BT Sport Match Pass is available for home matchdays in the Gallagher Premiership to current Northampton Saints Season Ticket Holders.

To be eligible for a Match Pass, you need to be aged 18 or over, with a registered UK address.

Please note, if you already have a BT Sport subscription, you DO NOT need to register for a Match Pass as you will already have access to the matches.

How do I watch the Exeter match on Sunday 6 June with a BT Sport Match Pass?

Northampton Saints will contact all current Season Ticket Holders by email on Thursday 3 June. One Season Ticket Holder per household will receive a unique code called a BT Sport Match Pass ID.

We recommend that Season Ticket Holders follow the instructions and register for a BT Sport Match Pass as soon as possible after receiving this email.

Register for your Match Pass, select the Saints v Exeter match on Sunday 6 June (kick off: 3pm) from the menu, and then enter your details.

You will be asked to enter your Match Pass ID, and must do so exactly as it appears on the email that you received from Saints.

If you are registering more than six hours ahead of kick-off, you will receive an email from BT confirming your successful registration straight away. You will then receive a second email from BT containing your BT ID username and password no less than two hours before kick-off. You will need these to log into the BT Sport App or watch on online on BT Sport

If you are registering less than six hours before kick-off, then your BT ID credentials will be displayed on BT Sport Match Pass as soon as you have successfully registered. You will also be sent an email confirming these credentials.

Your access will expire shortly after the end of the Saints v Exeter match on Sunday 6 June.

I have not received my BT Sport Match Pass ID for the Exeter match from Saints via email – what do I do?

Please note that Northampton Saints Season Ticket Holders who are over 18 years of age are eligible for one BT Sport Pass per household, and not per Season Ticket.

If you have not received your BT Sport Match Pass ID via email from Saints by 10pm on Thursday 3 June, then please check your spam/junk folder and ensure that you are accessing the email address that is linked to your Season Ticket account. If you have other Season Ticket Holders in your household, please also ask them to check their emails.

If you can still not locate the relevant email from Northampton Saints then please email [email protected] with your full name, address and Season Ticket Holder membership number and a member of the ticketing team will deal with your enquiry.

If you have opted out of receiving communications via email from Northampton Saints, please email [email protected] who will be able to send you a BT Sport Match Pass ID.

The ticketing team will deal with your enquiry as promptly as possible, but please be mindful that we are dealing with high email volumes. We strongly advise that you do not leave it to the last minute to register.

How do I watch subsequent matches?

The BT Sport Match Pass is only available on a match-by-match basis to current Season Ticket Holders, so if you are eligible, you need to apply for separate match passes for each of our remaining home fixtures. More details will be shared on the process for subsequent matches in advance of each fixture.

How many devices can I use the BT Sport App and online player on at the same time?

You can only use the BT Sport Match Pass on two supported devices at any one time, within the same household.

What do I do if I don’t receive an email from BT with a BT Sport Match Pass login?

If you haven’t received it by this time, check your email junk and spam folders, in case the email has accidentally ended up in there.

If you still can’t find it, please come back to BT Sport Match Pass online. Re-enter your email address and Match Pass ID and your BT Sport ID credentials that you can use to log into the app will be displayed on screen.

If you are still having problems, please contact BT on 0800 876 6982. Phone lines are open from four hours prior to kick-off of each match.
