Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

Cambridge I overcame Banbury in the final at the end of a morning which saw Under-14 teams from across the East of England in the battle to win the first Franklin's Gardens pre-match tournament of the 2012/13 season.

However there was no similar result for Cambridge II, who were beaten by Bugbrooke in the Plate final.

In winning the Cup Cambridge I's players earned themselves tickets for the 2013 JP Morgan Asset Management Premiership Rugby Sevens Series finals, as well as a place in an accompanying showpiece event.

The JP Morgan Asset Management Rugby Sevens Cup gives Under-14 teams the perfect opportunity to develop their Sevens skills in a competitive environment. With Rugby Sevens joining the Olympic movement in 2016 the sport is about to undergo an explosion in popularity, with the JP Morgan Asset Management Premiership Rugby Sevens Series one of the most prestigious Sevens events in the calendar and an important step on the Road to Rio.
