Canada overcame the US Eagles in their back-to-back matches played over the past fortnight. After a comfortable 27-9 victory in Charleston, South Carolina, the Canucks held on to win 13-11 on home soil the following weekend for an aggregate 40-20 result.
The wins mean that Canada have confirmed their place as the first non-European side in Pool D, and has set up a repeat match-up of the 2011 pool encounter in Napier, a game which included five tries and over 60 points.
