The Saints will open their 2017/18 European Rugby Champions Cup campaign at home to Saracens, tournament organisers EPCR have announced today.
The Franklin’s Gardens clash against the back-to-back European champions has been chosen by BT Sport as one of their prime matches of the weekend and will kick off at 5:30pm on Sunday, October 15th.
The next weekend sees the Saints head to France to play Clermont Auvergne on Saturday, October 21st (4:15pm kick off local time), and supporters can now book their places on the club’s official trip.
Stade Marcel Michelin is one of the ‘bucket list’ venues in European club rugby, and any trip to the rugby-mad city will live long in the memory – as will the noise generated inside the concrete cauldron!
The Saints’ two-night trip will leave Luton Airport on Friday, October 20th and return on Sunday, October 22nd, and includes:
- Return flights on a private charter plane with the Saints squad between Luton and Clermont-Ferrand
- Airport and match day transfers in France
- Two nights’ four-star bed and breakfast accommodation in the centre of Clermont-Ferrand
- A guarantee of best available match tickets, once they become available (not included in the package price)
Upgrades are also available; these include:
- Dinner in France with a taster menu
- Upgraded hotel room
- VIP lounge at Luton Airport on the way out

The Saints will have back-to-back Christmas clashes with the Ospreys, with the home tie at Franklin’s Gardens on Saturday, December 9th (KO 5:30pm) and the return leg at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday, December 17th (KO 3:15pm).
As with every season, the Rounds 5 and 6 matches against Clermont Auvergne and Saracens will be confirmed in the week after Round 4.
All of the home matches are included in the 2017/18 Season Ticket package, along with every other big game at Franklin’s Gardens. The Season Ticket guarantees the best pro rata price and the same seat or terrace area game in, game out, and the first option for subsequent seasons, too.

Individual match tickets for the Saracens and Ospreys games will go on general sale six weeks ahead of the respective date.
