Nando's was packed for the third successive year, and when the cover charge was combined with a raffle, silent auction and other donations the total raised for Cynthia Spencer Hospice exceeded £3,000!
"The players are in the restaurant all the time, so we try to combine their two best habits - eating chicken and raising money for a good cause!" said Clive Greening, manager of Nando's Northampton.
"It's become more popular with each year we've done the evening. The fans always ask us when it's going to be, as do the players, and it's always a surprise to me."
Players involved included club captain Dylan Hartley, along with Tom Wood, Ben Foden, Stephen Myler, Jamie Elliott, Soane Tonga'uiha, GJ Van Velze, Mark Sorenson, James Wilson, Courtney Lawes, Brian Mujati, Samu Manoa, Lee Dickson, Vasily Artemyev, Luther Burrell, Alex Waller, Paul Diggin and Ken and George Pisi.
