Voting is now open below for the cinch Player of the Month prize for April, with supporters able to vote for the Saint they believe made the biggest contribution on the pitch in Northampton’s final two Premiership matches of the regular season.
The competition will remain open for one week before the winning player is announced by Northampton Saints and cinch, with voting closing at 11.59pm on Friday 12 April.
Throughout the season, cinch will also be offering up a range of prizes for those who vote for the award, with one lucky supporter each month selected at random after voting closes. For April, one lucky winner will receive a personalised signed Saints shirt from the winner of this month's vote.
Northampton took to the field twice in the Gallagher Premiership across April, hosting Saracens at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens before securing a crucial 66-5 win over Newcastle Falcons on the road and securing their place in the league’s knock-out rounds.
With those clashes in mind, Saints’ coaches have selected five nominees for the monthly gong; Tom Collins, Lewis Ludlam, Alex Mitchell, Alex Moon and David Ribbans.
Featuring in both of Saints’ Premiership outings in April, Collins continues his prolific vein of form – scoring a brace of tries in a Man of the Match performance against Newcastle Falcons, before rounding off his final appearance at the Gardens with another score in the friendly clash with Leicester Tigers at the end of the month.
Ludlam led from the front for Saints, with the flanker scoring against Saracens while making some 14 carries and 30 tackles in across his two outings in Black, Green and Gold, while also hitting 19 attacking rucks in April.
Meanwhile, Mitchell – who started against both Saracens and Newcastle – added another two tries to his tally in Saints’ final Premiership outing of the regular season, taking his total to six tries so far this season.
In Saints’ engine room, Moon’s defence continued to shine – with the lock making 21 tackles in Northampton’s two matches to put him back at the top of the league’s tackle stats with 237 in total so far this season.
And likewise, Ribbans’ form in Saints’ engine room earned him the Man of the Match medal against Saracens – with his 14 carries and 17 attacking rucks in that game helping Saints secure their 38-29 win.
You can cast your vote below, but please note: only ONE vote per entrant will be counted.
